Four Word Grid
Make identical words in rows and columns
Are you someone who just can’t get enough of word games? Even though you are a daily player or Wordle, Quordle, Waffle, you still have room for more? Well, I am one who is always looking out for a new game and I also love building word games myself. So I came up with this game called Four Word Grid. Four word grids are easy and a real fun to make. The unique thing about a four word grid is that it reads the same, whether you read it horizontally or vertically. The symmetry of the words the way it all comes together leaves you with a sense of satisfaction that’s quite incomparable.

I used to make these grids as a child and with the advent of Wordle and the green yellow tiles, I thought this was a good candidate for making a new online word game. The color coding is similar to Wordle where green indicates the letter is in the correct position. Yellow is a little tricky in this game. Yellow indicates that the letter is in the row only, not in the column. So if you see 3 yellows in a column like the grid below, it does not mean that the 3 letters are in that column at all. It only means they are in their respective rows though not in the correct position.
You start with 16 letters in a scrambled grid like the one above. You get 15 swaps in which you need to rearrange the letters to make the grid which reads the same horizontally and vertically. With each swap, the color coding of the tiles gets updated so you know if you are closer to your solution. At the end of the game, you get one candy for each swap that you have left.
